Sorrel, aromatic plant


Sorrel     family Polygonaceae

Exhibition partial shade, herbaceous annual or multiannual .

Acid taste. Leaves lanceolate, ovate or sagittées. Flowers without

petals, green or pink, arranged in clusters. Fruits ovoid or

triangular, extremely numerous. Usually grows in

damp and shady places.

height 30-50 cm.

In cooking, it is used as  a vegetable to prepare

pies, soups, salads, leaves stuffed vine

meat seasoned with egg and lemon juice.
